GOLD Graffiti is not a project anymore. In the last year it got bigger and bigger.
But how did we get here, you ask?
Below is the story of the second year of GOLD.
In September 2010 I was still a Contributor & Co-Founder of the greatest street art related group on deviantART, Graffiti-Kings, and I was insanely drawing sketches for the Graffiti Rulz The World project, hand in hand with TEK-no, dudewithbatteries, TomDEE and a few others. That continued all that autumn (I also got a Daily Deviation in November for the Norway sketch from the one and only Ricardo-Rick tha Sick, and in winter, oh, that winter brought me the most important achievement at that time: I was selected by the deviantART staff to be the Gallery Moderator for the Street Art & Graffiti category!
This position made me a voice and a respectable person in the graffiti community on dA, and since then, I'm not alone anymore in the projects I started:
>>> Graffiti Rulz The World reached huge popularity in- and outside of deviantART. Also, the official facebook page got almost 100 likes! We went throuth more than a full year of domination, so we have over 60 countries visited and dominated. And when I say "we", I mean the 18 people involved in this project. One of them is purpeltiger, the Recruiter, the man whose job is to find new graffiti artists to participate in the project. >>> GOLD Graffiti Magazine has been down this year, but I promise to bring it back. Perhaps on paper! Sounds good, huh? Yaky and Aleks will help me with Romanian to English translations and editing stuff, while I will have to find the way to make the magazine available in real life.
>>> stickers49 was also down a little in the last year, but it was saved by the inspiration I got from didutsa. She is the stickers49's project manager and also Creative Director at our Organisation. And to fully revive this project, we are planning to launch a book/album with sticker designs until Christmas. We will have a lot to draw, scan, edit, re-draw, re-scan, re-edit, colour, cut, print, re-cut, re-print and all that stuff. Oh, but there will be more content, not only stickers... (mystery, for now...), and I guarantee it will be awesome!
I already began to send sticker-packs all over Europe, to people who want to trade. America is on the list... no!, the entire world is on the list! Just contact me if you are up for a trade.
